Kaliningrad historian asks the regional Duma to repeal the law on the transfer of real estate to the Russian Orthodox Church

On May 3, 2011, it became known that the Kaliningrad historian Vladimir Ryzhkov appealed to the regional Duma with a request to cancel the October 2010 law on the transfer of objects to the Russian Orthodox Church real estate.

The author of the appeal refers to the publication in the local newspaper Dvornik, where the historian Nikolai Cheburkin claims that his signature on historical certificates, on the basis of which 7 objects were transferred to the Church, was forged.

“We are talking about the following objects: the ruins of the Ragnit castle, the castle Labiau, House of the Church Community at the address: Kaliningrad, per. Krylova, d. 2-4, Waldau Castle, ruins of Kaimen Castle, Sagrada Familia, Church House with hall of the community at the address: Kaliningrad, st. B. Khmelnitsky, d. 61a " , - said V. Ryzhkov.

According to him, the ruins of Gerdauen Castle, Neuhausen Castle, Taplaken, Insterburg Castle were also transferred to the Kaliningrad diocese by mistake.

“It can be assumed that when transferring objects Kaliningrad diocese, the regional Duma of the fourth convocation was unable to verify quality of documents, did not have time to listen to the opinion of specialists, and therefore was Law No. 502 was adopted.
