At the end of April 2011, the Federal Service for Supervision of communications, information technology and mass communications ( Roskomnadzor ) updated the list of "anti-extremist" warnings issued media editors in 2011.
Compared to the end of March 2011 , this list has added 4 warnings:
The editors of the newspaper "Yarkovosti" for publication of the article “The fight against corruption has overshadowed the national question” in No. 14 of November 25, 2010 Unfortunately, we did not succeed find the text of this article on the Internet.
The editors of the newspaper "Egorshinsky Vesti" for the publication of materials "The killer must be in prison" in No. 45 (969) of 12 November 2010 and the article “Boiling Point” in No. 46 (970) dated November 19, 2010. The article reports the death of a city resident Artemovsky, Vladimir Rumoykin. He died in the city hospital after fights in one of the cafes of the city with representatives of the Armenian ethnic group. After the publication of the article on the newspaper's website about 300 comments were received, among which were harsh and intolerant statements. Some of these comments were published "to show readers the scale of the interethnic conflict in Artemovskoye”. We were unable to see all published comments, and we do not know which of them caused claims by the department, but in some of them do show signs of arousing national hate. In the text of the article itself there is no corpus delicti.
The editors of the newspaper "Vechorka" for the publication under the heading "Photofact" of the image of a lighter with the inscription “Sino-fascist lighter on free sale. Manchuria. 06.03.2011" in No. 10 (42) dated 09.03.2011. We consider it warning is illegal .
The editors of the newspaper "Vostochny Market" for publishing an advertisement with the phrase "Discounts for Muslims" in No. 2 (April 2011). We consider this warning unlawful .
