Amnesty International raised the topic of unlawful anti-extremism in Russia in its annual report
On May 13, 2011, Amnesty International published its report "Human Rights in the Modern World" , dedicated to the events of 2010 of the year.
In the chapter on the Russian Federation, the topic misuse of anti-extremist legislation is reflected in the section "Freedom of Expression".
It is alleged that the vague language of the law on the fight against extremism were used to infringe on freedom of speech. As examples are the cases of Irek Murtazin , the exhibition "Forbidden Art - 2006" and the trial of Jehovah's Witness Alexander Kalistratov in Gorno-Altaisk.
In addition, the "Racism" section touches on the topic of hate-motivated violence.
