On May 16, 2011, in the Vologda Oblast, a court recognized a public organization National Socialist Initiative (NSI) of the city of Cherepovets extremist organization and banned its activities.
Thus, the application of the prosecutor's office was satisfied in full.
Representatives of the organization announced their intention to appeal sentence.
The organization appeared in Cherepovets at the beginning of 2010 as a regional representation of the movement of the same name in St. Petersburg - NSI (Dm. Bobrov, sentenced to 6 years in prison in 2005).
During its existence, members of the organization more than once fell into the field of view of the operatives of the Center for Countermeasures extremism of the Regional Department of Internal Affairs, which prevented attempts to unauthorized public actions. In addition, young people were involved in mass fights. with representatives of other youth groups and painted xenophobic slogans and swastikas on the walls of buildings in the city. Movement activists posted information about their activities on the Internet.
