On May 16, 2011, Georgy Nikolaev, a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses community, was beaten in Cheboksary, who had come to preaching the Bible in the apartment of people already known to him.
The owner of the apartment struck Georgy Nikolaev several times in the face and on head, who were present in the man’s apartment, twisting his hands and putting him to throat with a kitchen knife, accused of fraud and extortion of money, threatened murder and violence. Personal belongings of G. Nikolaev shaken out of the bag (certificate disabled person, telephone, money, Bible) were confiscated.
The attackers were taken to the police station.
