In June 2011, the prosecutor's office of the city of Voronezh conducted verification of measures taken by public utilities to detect and the elimination of inscriptions of an “extremist orientation”, with which xenophobic vandals paint fences, bus stops, transformer booths, as well as walls houses and porches of the city.
After conducting a raid, prosecutors found similar inscriptions in the Kominternovsky, Leninsky, Central, Sovetsky and Zheleznodorozhny regions, and how it is reported that no measures were taken to eliminate them for a long time time and they were painted over only after the intervention of the prosecutor's office.
On this fact, the prosecutor's office issued a presentation to the head of the city to Sergey Koliukha with a demand to eliminate violations and bring the perpetrators to disciplinary action.
