June 29, 2011 The Shchelkovsky City Court of the Moscow Region recognized 7 titles of Ron's works as extremist Hubbard.
As it became known on July 13, the court decision concerned the following materials:
"Lectures for the course of IDU / PL" in the composition 9 audio cassettes and one book,
"What is Scientology"
"Scientology Ideal organizations. Basic member hat advisory executive advice",
"Scientology Ideal organizations. Course: What is an organization?
"The status of the leader is one. The course head of the organization" volume 0,
"Course "Management" vol. 1, 2 and 3.
The court agreed with prosecutors that Hubbard's books incited religious hatred and aimed at "destroying social groups other than the Church of Scientology . "
Requirements Shchelkovo city prosecutor's office were satisfied in full, Ron Hubbard's information materials were found to be extremist.
Recall that we see no reason to ban materials Scientologists. The accusations of inciting discord boil down essentially to Scientologists asserting the exclusivity of their religion. This cannot be grounds for a ban, as it is characteristic of any religion. The idea that Scientologists want to destroy all social groups except their own does not seem convincing. The court considered that the goal of Scientologists is the formation of their own separate "correct" social group as opposed to all the other "wrong" ones and the gradual expansion of "their own" to the limits of the whole world. Even if this is true, there is no extremism in it, because the expansion of this group does not involve the use of violence.
Recall also that the previous trial on the works of Ron Hubbard took place in Surgut. In February 2011, the Khanty-Mansiysk District Court put an end to the case, which confirmed the decision of the Surgut city court, which refused to recognize 29 books of Hubbard extremist.
According to the information we received from the Scientology Control Center in Russia, the decision of the Shchelkovsky City Court was appealed on time.
