On July 28, 2011, the Tyumen Regional Court upheld changes in the sentence of public activist Andrey Kutuzov, previously recognized guilty courts of previous instances for hours.1 Article. 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls for extremist activities).
Recall that Kutuzov was accused of distributing leaflets with calls for violence against police officers. The defense side had strong grounds to suspect forgery of evidence, which was not taken into account by the court.
In March 2011, the Magistrate's Court of the Central administrative district of Tyumen sentenced Kutuzov to 2 years in prison conditionally with a probationary period of 3 years, and in May the Central District Court of Tyumen upheld this verdict. Sources
