"SP": - It turns out that the situation is still alarming?

• The situation has become better only in the sense that, thank God, kill less. This is undeniable progress, but largely achieved police pressure. However, the nationalist movement itself is nowhere disappears because it is an expression of certain pretty common mindsets that never go away.

"SP": - And how do you assess the regular disagreements within this movement?

• This is fine. After all, they, in fact, can’t agree on anything and can’t necessary. If they, for example, had to go to the polls, then yes, would have to unite, put up a single list. They don't even have one tasks. They may have a task - to organize relatively massive activities, for which some kind of unity is desirable. But the genre of their events such that even this is not really required. Say, on the "Russian March" everything everyone comes in a row, regardless of the organization. What else carried out regularly? Some pickets. But they are very small. And there at least one organization will be, at least three, the number of this is not particularly will change. If there are twice as many organizers, then participants from it won't double.

"SP": - Is it possible to speak of them as a serious political force?

• Not now. They are potentially a serious political force. Now they just can’t turn to the layman in any way, it doesn’t work, but without this, it is impossible to become a significant political force.

"SP": - And why is the dialogue not working?

• I think that style interferes, nationalism is still too marginal. Since it all grew out of the skinhead environment, it is still it is very felt. And to a simple citizen, even if he goes out of his way does not like people from the Caucasus and in general everyone in the world, he does not care next to These guys are weird. As soon as they have some a group of people without these militants, then there are so few of them that it is impossible to manages to connect anyone. That's just more moderate nationalists held a rally under a potentially very popular slogan "Stop feeding Caucasians." But even under this, it would seem, completely a win-win slogan all the same, the people somehow did not pull themselves up. Maybe, because people saw that the rally was not numerous, I don't know. This some dead end for the nationalist movement.

"SP": - Maybe then it's not a movement at all, you can't call it that, too loud?

• There is no other word yet. In Western languages, in English, in including using such a slightly strange term as "scene". The ultra-right scene, the left scene, that is, the fusion of heterogeneous groups, which do not form a full-fledged political sector, but a specific Wednesday.

There are small movements, but this does not mean that they will be tomorrow will remain so. Let's say the Narodnaya Volya were completely uninfluential movement. Forever they failed, hopeless losers could not increase their numbers in any way, at least kill yourself. And then from them a huge party of Socialist-Revolutionaries grew up. It took several decades.

So it is with the national movement. Yes, now it is weak. But potentially it has a large reserve of growth, because their ideas, it seems, should be used support, judging by any polls, but they don’t use it. Will it succeed them to overcome this barrier between themselves and the audience? In the near future, obviously not. Today all this looks rather ridiculous, but in 10 years it may turn out differently.

"SP": Is it worth it then to ban them, because new organizations immediately appear?

• The state should pursue activities that go beyond admissible. After all, DPNI was banned not only for chatter. This signal is not these people, no one hopes to re-educate them, but a signal to others. If you want to create a nationalist organization, without scuffle, Please. If someone finally succeeds, we will have nationalist party. So far, no one has succeeded.

"SP": - In the nationalist movements there are fans of Hitler, how dangerous are they?

• As a rule, there are almost no literal followers of Hitler. Even people who in Western Europe would be called neo-fascists, they are about Hitler rarely remembered. But these people, who in any European country would be considered neo-fascists, we have them in the nationalist movement, to unfortunately the majority. And just the more moderate nationalists are a clear minority in this environment. And the bulk is just small groups that share strong racist attitudes, are guided by the corresponding Western European samples. This pretty sad.
