The sentence for members of the neo-Nazi group “Lincoln 88” came into force

September 1, 2011 The Collegium for Criminal Cases of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation considered complaints against the verdict of the St. City Court of May 5 this year against 10 members of the neo-Nazi grouping "Lincoln-88", including its leader - Andrey Link.

Recall that in total the group included 19 people, but cassation appeals were filed only by those who received real terms of imprisonment (from 3.5 to 9 years in a colony).

In their complaints, young people emphasized that at the moment committing crimes, they were young, and also considered that the decision jurors were influenced by video footage in the media.

However, the Supreme Court considered that the age of the defendants was already taken into account by the lower court as a mitigating circumstance, and the absence bias in connection with media reporting, the jurors themselves stated during the trial proceedings.

Thus, the Supreme Court left the appeals without satisfaction, and the verdict is unchanged.

Recall, among other things, members of the Lincoln 88 group accused of committing 12 racist attacks , including two murders . Young people, depending on the role each, incriminated PP. “g, l” part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder based on national hatred), paras. "a, c" part 2 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting national hatred with the use of violence), Part 1 of Art. 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (robbery).
