The Kavkaz Center website is recognized as extremist

On September 12, 2011, the Nikulinsky District Court of Moscow considered the claim of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Viktor Grin demanding that the following be recognized as extremist: - articles from the Kavkaz Center website “This is their civilization”, “In Beslan they remembered Shamil Basayev’s letter to Vladimir Putin”, “Jamaat” "Sharia" promises to attack Sochi and the synagogue in Shamilkala", "Dagestan Front: Jihad continues " ;

• the Kavkaz-Center website itself (www.kavkazcenter.com) and several of its “mirrors” located at the following addresses: kavkaz.tv, kavkaznews.com, kavkaz.org.uk, kavkazcenter.com, kavkazcenter.net and kavkazcenter.info .

It is reported that “ *on the website www.kavkazcenter.com, for access to an unlimited number of people, publications of the specified articles are posted, which contain calls for extremist activities, threats to commit terrorist actions and justify the implementation of these activities, as well as propaganda of exclusivity, superiority or inferiority of a person on the basis of religious and racial affiliation "*** .

The court satisfied the prosecutor's request in full.

Let us remind you that materials from the Kavkaz-Center website have more than once been recognized as extremist and included in the Federal List of Extremist Materials (items 270, 272, 339, 340, 351, 352, 353, 354, 355, 366, 367, 370, 705) .

In 2007, by court decision, access to the site was limited in the Novosibirsk region.
