Human rights activists are outraged by the presence of anti-Semitic and xenophobic literature at the Moscow International Book Fair

September 12, 2011 Moscow Anti-Fascist Center, Holocaust Foundation, Moscow Bureau for Human Rights, Congress of National Associations of Russia and The Federation of Migrants of Russia issued a joint statement expressing indignation at the fact that at the 195th Moscow International Book exhibition-fair, in the next once xenophobic and anti-Semitic literature was presented.

Such literature included:

• books by the "fighter against the Jewish Masonic conspiracy" Oleg Platonov;

• book by one of the leaders of the Black Hundred movements of Nikolai Markov;

• books by Nikolai Levashov, whose the work "Russia in Crooked Mirrors" is included in the Federal List extremist materials (p. 809);

• racist john books Philip Rushton;

• two books by Boris Mironov, whom the court found guilty of inciting ethnic hatred in 2008;

• book by Stanislav Kunyaev "Priests and victims of the Holocaust.

Human rights defenders' appeal addressed to the organizers of the book exhibition, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation and Russian Book Union.
