Elections: A National Moment

Nationalist themes in society are being discussed this year much more than before the elections in 2007, it is even difficult to compare here. At the same time, the authorities are not at all interested in inflating such discussions, because this is a conflict topic, and now the conflicts of any kind are undesirable. Accordingly, efforts are being made to mute a little.

Politicians who are going to participate in elections are in dual position. They cannot ignore the fact that the population is very concerned about the topic, that this is some kind of significant plays a role in the minds of people, but they also fear that they will be pulled out of the Kremlin - Like, you allow yourself too much. So everything is going pretty strange, somewhat inconsistent.

Now we have a completely different picture than it was, for example, in 2003 year, when there was a Rodina party, which successfully accumulated, among other things, nationalist electorate, and everything was more or less clear. On Today there is no such party and it is not expected. Respectively, those people for whom the problem that we have is not very successful is called "interethnic", is very important, you need to somehow choose from existing politicians. Choose someone who they think is on it will respond. Well, or not to choose anyone.

Therefore, all parties that have any hope of entering the Duma, try to do something to the best of their ability - and, of course, do it differently. Let's say what the "United Russia”, this is one thing, but what the Communist Party of the Russian Federation can afford is another. "Yabloko" can afford to do nothing at all, because it anyway, he won't get into the Duma, there's not even anything to doubt about it. About "Right business, you can no longer talk.

There is nothing to say to a radical politician who is counting on something. maybe because the top is not allowed. Even Zhirinovsky is so enfant terrible, who seems to be able to do everything, yet he tries somehow not be too harsh. Of course, I don't mean the rally, on in which he said something to two hundred assembled and no one else heard. I'm talking about performances, for example, on federal TV channels.

Electorally beneficial behavior in the current pre-election period is subtly make it clear to the voter that the interethnic theme is not alien, but this needs to be expressed as accurately as possible. Perhaps somehow this is will be. At the same time, the parties do not need the main the person voiced all the subtleties of the party positions. If the leader of the party speaks - say, in the case of "United Russia" Putin - he should not speak exhaustively about everything at once thus, it denotes major milestones.

After all, there are other people in the party, in the case of United Russia, this is the People's front", which can introduce overtones into this matter. Well, now the task parties and partly the mass media, so that the necessary overtones are conveyed still up to the voter. It is clear that the first thing to be discussed is how "People's Front" will beat Rogozin, who presumably must go in there. This is actually still an open question: what will happen talk Rogozin over the next few months and how it will be actively promoted. Because in every overtone it is not important not only the frequency, but also the amplitude.

It is important not only what is said, but also how well it is heard, that what is said by certain politicians is replicated and what is not. That's why it is now difficult to predict how it will play out before the elections nationalist map.
