In Chuvashia, a case was brought to court for uploading an “extremist” film

On October 5, 2011, the UPC RF for the Republic of Chuvashia announced that the court the case was transferred under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting hatred and enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity) in relation to a 47-year-old resident Novocheboksarsk Vladimir Yurin.

According to the investigation, V.Yurin from July 2010 to July 2011 posted in Internet service provider's file-sharing network "extremist" film.

The case was investigated by the SO of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Chuvash Republic.
