Fine for the group "DPNI Tyumen"

October 6, 2011 the Magistrate's Court of the Leninsky district of the city Tyumen sentenced 21-year-old Sergei Vereshchagin under Art. 13.15 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (dissemination of information about an extremist organization without indicating that that the organization has been liquidated or its activities have been terminated). The World Court fined young man in the amount of 2.5 thousand rubles.

Recall that S. Vereshchagin was accused of creating social network "VKontakte" group "DPNI Tyumen", which talked about activities of the "Movement Against Illegal Immigration" - far-right organization, declared extremist in March of this year. Unfortunately, the news from the prosecutor's office does not say when that was the start of the business. Note that if it was initiated before 9 August, when the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation approved the DPNI ban, it is unlawful.

Now the page with the symbols of the organization has been removed from the social network. This decision, in our opinion, is unlawful: Article 13.15 speaks of the abuse of the freedom of mass information, but the social network is not a mass media. Yes and the ban itself, contained in paragraph 2 of the article, can hardly be called reasonable.
