The "Program of People's Initiatives" of the ONF contains clauses on the "revival of spirituality" and the fight against "religious and political extremism"

October 23, 2011 on the United Russia website was published the "Program of People's Initiatives" of the United People's front. The "Quality of Life" section of this program includes the item "Revival spirituality and preservation of traditions". The authors of the document urge, in in particular, "take care of faith, counteract religious extremism."

In the section "The unity of Russian civilization" mentioned "multinationality, multireligiousness and multiformity in presence of an ethnic (Russian) and religious (Orthodox) majority".

The compilers of the program believe that "teaching in schools of such training courses as "Fundamentals of the Spiritual and Moral Culture of the Peoples Russia", "Fundamentals of Religious Cultures and Secular Ethics", proved its demand".

It is proposed to introduce in all educational institutions "special subjects on the history and culture of the peoples of Russia, to introduce practical exercises to master the skills of interethnic communication. Existing religious educational institutions should also have a comprehensive secular curriculum."

The program notes the need for "government support intercultural and interreligious dialogue and cooperation" and fight "with religious and political extremism". At the same time, the authors of the document believe that "A religious challenge must be met with a religious response. For example, only within the Islamic Ummah itself, there can be those healthy forces, that immunity, who will overcome the poison of Wahhabism. And here the state is obliged to support traditional forms of Islam, including those in the North Caucasus, traditional public institutions of the peoples of Russia. Sources
