October 26 2011 in Irkutsk, law enforcement officers seized from the printing house of the publishing house "KP-Baikal" circulation of the newspaper "It's time", a campaign material of the regional Committee of the Communist Party. The circulation was taken out in an unknown direction, no withdrawal documents.
Police officers said they were acting on the basis of a document received by from the Center for Combating Extremism of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Irkutsk Region, however refused to present the document itself. Subsequently representatives of the Communist Party found out that the police carried out background checks, stated in a certain report, which was issued retroactively.
The reaction of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Irkutsk region to the incident yet unknown.
Representatives of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation regarded the incident as pre-election provocation, calculated to discredit the enemy, and accused of her representatives of "United Russia".
Recall that the practice of withdrawing circulation for testing "for extremism" is illegal. For such a check, it is enough several copies of the publication. In addition, the newspaper "Pora" is registered with the Regional Electoral Committee as a propaganda material, and it is doubtful that signs of extremism can be found in it.
