A rally was held in Biysk against the transfer of the House of Officers building to the Church

The rally was organized by teachers of additional education, concerned about the transfer of the buildings of the Biysk Garrison House of Officers, in which there are centers of creativity, Churches.
The complex of the House of Officers previously housed the Bishops' Metochion and Altai spiritual mission. The transfer of the House of Officers to the Church became possible after refusal of the Ministry of Defense from these buildings. The diocese plans to place in them an Orthodox gymnasium and a religious school.
“ A lot of children's circles are actively functioning in the House of Officers , - teachers say. - According to our information, the Ministry of Defense has already received a document recommending that within a month all the equipment of the Biysk Officers' houses. GDO currently employs about 30 employees, some of them of which, in connection with the transfer of the church building, will be reduced, and the rest, working on self-sufficiency, will look for a new premises. In any case, children who were engaged in GDO for a long time will be left without circles and sections. In fact, the diocese will throw people out on the street. And in this regard, we decided to go out into the streets in order to save their jobs, and places for children leisure activities ."
Recall that the inhabitants of Biysk in July 2011 opposed the construction of a temple complex in the forest city zone.
