On November 5, 2011, the conference “Freedom of Conscience. 21st Century”, organized by the Sanity Foundation together with journalist Alexander Nevzorov. About 50 people took part in it, including representatives of the Public Committee for the Protection of the Ryazan Historical and Architectural Museum-Reserve, the Skepsis magazine.
Most of the speakers touched upon the problems of preserving the secular nature of the state, preventing the interference of religious organizations in government, in science and education, transferring the premises of social institutions and museum values to the Church.
The participants of the conference came to the conclusion that it is necessary to unite anti-clerical forces in the context of growing violations of the rights of citizens to freedom conscience. Sources
