Attack on the Kishmish restaurant in St. Petersburg

November 7 2011 at about 21:40 in St. Petersburg on Nekrasov Street a group of young people (in under 30 years old), armed with bats, broke into the premises of an Azerbaijani cuisine restaurant "Kishmish" and staged a pogrom.

There were six to ten attackers. They knocked over tables and chairs broke dishes and an aquarium, and then fled. Fortunately, none of the visitors personnel were not injured.

According to eyewitnesses, the attackers looked like Nazi skinheads. Not it is possible that the motive for the attack was national hatred. (From 6 to 8 November, the city hosts a Muslim Eid al-Adha holiday.) However, we cannot say this with certainty, especially since the version of national or religious hatred is denied in the restaurant.
