The verdict of Alexander Kalistratov was appealed

On November 14, 2011, it became known that lawyers and public defender of Jehovah's Witness Alexander Kalistratov, who is 3 November 2011, the city court of Gorno-Altaisk convicted under Part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting religious hatred), appealed against the verdict in time.

They appealed to the Supreme Court of the Altai Republic with cassation appeals, asking to cancel the verdict and dismiss the case against their client.

Recall that Kalistratov was sentenced to 100 hours of correctional works. Russian and international human rights organizations that monitored process, consider the sentence unlawful.
