Access to “extremist sites” is limited in Shakhty

On November 1, 2011, the prosecutor's office of the city of Shakhty (Rostov Region) announced that the Leninsky District Court of the city of Rostov-on-Don satisfied prosecutor's claim against the Rostov branch of OJSC Rostelecom on access restriction to "extremist" information posted on the websites www.al-hakk.com, punk.org.ua and rabidshare.info by adding on the border router IP address filtering rules.

The decision has not entered into force.

Similar requirements of the city prosecutor's office were also stated to the Internet provider - Rostov branch of Prestige-Internet LLC. The claim is being considered Proletarsky District Court of the city of Rostov-on-Don.
