November 24 2011 at the annual diocesan meeting of the Moscow diocese, Metropolitan Krutitsky and Kolomna Yuvenaly (Poyarkov) announced the statistics on diocese.
The Bishop noted that the Moscow diocese is divided into 47 deanery districts, including monastery district. Due to the increase in the number of parishes in 2011, territories of Dmitrovsky, Stupinsky, Pushkinsky and Shchelkovsky municipal districts of the Moscow region, new deaneries were created - Rogachevskoye, Malinskoye, Ivanteevskoye and Losino-Petrovskoye.
As of as of November 2011, there were 1,506 churches in the Moscow diocese, of which 90 were monastic ones. 605 churches have been fully restored, 347 newly built, 178 are under construction construction.
While, when services are not performed, 793 temples are open to visitors, of these, 506 have attendants available to answer questions.
Total number parishes of the Moscow diocese - 1142, they serve 1308 priests and 106 deacons. The parishes and monasteries of the Moscow diocese include 268 chapels and 836 church houses. The number of monasteries in the diocese is 25, 283 people live in them inhabitant.
Over the past year in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities as religious organizations included 14 newly formed parishes. 909 temples and 42 chapels are objects of cultural heritage.
