On election day in Moscow, a protest rally by nationalists was suppressed

On December 4, 2011, at 9 pm in Moscow, near the exit from the Ploshchad Revolutsii metro station, an unauthorized rally of ultra-right organizations took place.

The event was dedicated to the elections to the State Duma that took place in the country. Let us remind you that the action was announced by Alexander Belov at the “Russian March” in Lyublino on November 4.

According to various estimates, from 100 to 150 people took part in the action, most of whom were detained by law enforcement officers. Among them were the leaders of the “Russians” organization Dmitry Demushkin, Georgy Borovikov and Alexander Belov, as well as one of the leaders of the “Russian Social Movement” - Vladimir Tor.

Most of the detainees were released on the same day. Some were simply released without being taken to the police station or facing any charges. D. Demushkin was accused of organizing an unauthorized rally (Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation) and was released on his own recognizance. A. Belov was fined 500 rubles. The Tverskoy Court of Moscow found him guilty under Art. 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (disobedience to a lawful order of a police officer). G. Borovikov was sentenced under Art. 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation by the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow to 5 days of arrest and a fine of 500 rubles.
