A temple building is put up for sale in the Tver region

On December 6, 2011, it became known that in the Kashinsky district of Tverskaya area put up for sale monastery church of the XVII century. The price of the building is 1.7 million rubles. The Cathedral of the former Sretensky Monastery appears in the list of lots as "former sport school".

The children's sports school was located in this building in Soviet time. Then it was not used for some time. Tver diocese was not informed that the temple was going to be sold.

“We have repeatedly asked that the remaining ancient churches be handed over to the Church, but they were refused,” said the dean of the Kashinsky district, Fr. Dimitri.
