On December 6, 2011, the Novorossiysk prosecutor's office announced issuing a warning about the inadmissibility of violating the Federal Law "On the perpetuation memory of those who died defending the Fatherland" to the head of the Club military-historical reconstruction.
His fault was that he ordered in online store, two distinctive badges of the German army with Nazi symbols.
The prosecutor's office not only tracked the order on the Internet, but also did not I was too lazy to conduct an examination and interrogate the head of the club. The examination showed that the symbols on the badges really belong to the Nazi Party of Germany times of World War II. The interrogated did not deny that he knew that these badges bear Nazi symbols.
As follows from the prosecutor's report, this non-denial is being considered prosecutor's office as the only evidence of his guilt: "Thus, in his actions to acquire distinctive badges from the Nazi symbols and demonstration of them, there are signs of Nazi propaganda paraphernalia or symbols.
In our opinion, this warning is unwarranted.
Firstly, the fact of buying a Nazi badge on the Internet is not can be seen as propaganda of Nazism. Secondly, military reenactors, even demonstrating forbidden symbols (which the matter clearly did not come to), as a rule, they do not promote Nazi ideas, and the opposite must be separately proven. Unfortunately, the second argument, although logical, nullified by the absurd law "On perpetuating the memory of those who died during Defense of the Fatherland" prohibiting any demonstration of Nazi or similar her symbolism as such.
