The trial of the case of Jehovah's Witnesses has begun in Chita

December 22, 2011 Chita district the court of the Trans-Baikal Territory began consideration on the merits of the criminal case under Part 1 of Article 282 Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting religious hatred) in relation to the spouses Andrei and Lucia Raitinykh.

Earlier in the preliminary consideration, the court returned the case prosecutor.

Raitin's accusation is similar to the accusation Alexander Kalistratov in Gorno-Altaisk: they are accused of spreading banned for "extremism" materials of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Note that today - December 22 - criminal proceedings against Kalistratova was terminated .
