On December 23, 2011, the " Federal List of Extremist Materials " was again updated , which is published on the website of the Ministry of Justice of Russia. It has been added 1058.
The list was supplemented by the book of V. Istarkhov (collective pseudonym of V. Ivanov and V. Selivanova) “Strike of the Russian gods”, which has already been twice included in the list (p. 289, item 918).
Recall that the history of the ban on the book "Blow of the Russian Gods" is very confused.
Paragraph 289 states that the book "Strike of the Russian Gods" was listed in connection with its recognition as extremist by the decision of Verkh-Isetsky District Court of the city of Yekaterinburg dated 03.07.2008. However, this decision was canceled on January 27, 2009 by the Sverdlovsk Regional court for formal reasons, and therefore finding a book in the Federal list of extremist materials illegally.
However, after the cancellation of the first decision, in the spring of 2009 the prosecutor's office sent the case to the Verkh-Isetsky District Court, but the court refused to consider it cases on formal grounds.
The next attempt to ban the "Strike of the Russian Gods" was made prosecutor's office in December 2009, and it turned out to be successful: on December 23, all that Verkh-Isetsky District Court finally recognized the book as extremist and this was confirmed on June 8, 2010 by Sverdlovsky regional court.
Paragraph 918, in which the book was added, indicates exactly the December the decision of the Verkh-Isetsky District Court and, consequently, its inclusion in the list legal and justified. Thus, the next step of the Ministry of Justice should be exclusion from the list of item 289.
In parallel with this, they tried to ban the “Strike of the Russian Gods” in Arkhangelsk (case was terminated on the basis of the refusal of the prosecutor to file a claim) and in the Ryazan region (the book was banned).
