The criminal case regarding the "Palace Coup" action has been closed

As it became known on January 8, 2012, on December 1, 2011, the criminal case under paragraph "b" of Part 1 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism motivated by hatred), initiated on the fact of the "Palace Coup" action against members of the art movement, was dismissed. group "War" Oleg Vorotnikov and Leonid Nikolaev. The resolution to terminate the case was made by the investigator of the investigative department for the Central District of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in St. Petersburg for the lack of corpus delicti, since the re-examination carried out in November 2011 did not find any action Vorotnikov and Nikolaev based on the motive of hatred towards the social group “police officers”. However, the city prosecutor's office has not yet confirmed this decision.

Let us recall that the authors of the first expert opinion on the case indicated that law enforcement officers should not be considered a social group.
