How the Orthodox can win at public hearings

In December 2011 on the site Orthodox human rights center "Territory of the Church" was published "Memo-recommendation to groups support for the construction of Orthodox churches in Moscow”, compiled by Philip Grill. Memo includes fifteen paragraphs devoted mainly to the preparations for the public hearings.

Philip Grill, member of the initiative support group for the construction of the temple in the Voikovsky district of Moscow, advises:

-  For preparation for public hearings to form a "mobile and manageable" group of five active parishioners led by a priest, as well as a "strike group" of 10-15 people registered in the same area where the temple is being built,

-  print and paste in in the temple construction area leaflets with a “call to the population to support the construction of the temple”,

-   "shock group" should " come to the hall where they will be held public hearings , much earlier than they began, in order to occupy the front rows close to district authorities ,

-   send as many as possible after the hearing letters and emails to the mayor and the prefect requesting that the process be expedited registration of the site and start building the temple as soon as possible , "letters should be collective, because. "they have more weight in the eyes of the authorities",

-  transmit information about past meetings and written appeals, as well as about "cases of discrimination", to the "union media" (such as "Radonezh", "Church Bulletin", "Territory Churches").

Some memo points set up for an active struggle:

-  "study your opponents carefully, they are not homogeneous. With sectarians, rest on the fact that they are here newcomers and heretics, with liberals that they are henchmen of the West and act on his money (receiving grants)",

-  “make acquaintances in houses near construction site, especially hostile ones, you should have information from the camp enemy!"

-  “if necessary, so that the planned meeting, meeting, if possible, their people came, observe "internet silence", send notifications by mobile communication or mailing to personal e-mail boxes. Remember! Public Internet ads will be read by your opponents too!”,

-  “remember A.V. Suvorov: "Attack with what God sent!" Supporters will definitely show up in the process of your struggle!
