A bill providing for a ban on working with children for people who have committed crimes against the foundations of the constitutional order was adopted in the first reading

On January 24, 2012, the State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted in the first reading the draft federal law “On Amendments to Article 22.1 of the Federal Law “On State Registration of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs” and Articles 331 and 351.1 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation.”

The bill provides for a ban on working with minors for those who have committed crimes against the foundations of the constitutional order (Chapter 29 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

Let us remind you that our concerns regarding this law are related to the fact that a sufficient number of wrongful sentences are passed under the articles of the Criminal Code that are within the possible scope of its application. This means that victims of the misuse of anti-extremism legislation may face an even greater loss of rights.
