On January 28, 2012, it became known that the adviser to the Moscow mayor Vladimir Resin, who oversees the construction of modular churches in Moscow, accepted the offer of Patriarch Kirill to become his adviser on construction.
“In my life I have not been deprived of positions, but such an offer is worth a lot,” said Vladimir Resin. “I am grateful to His Holiness Patriarch Kirill for the high trust placed in me and will try my best to justify it.”
Recall that in December 2011, in connection with the election to the State Duma of the Russian Federation from Party "United Russia" V. Resin was relieved of his post First Deputy Mayor of Moscow.
