The website of Jehovah's Witnesses is being blocked in Transbaikalia

On February 3, 2012, the Prosecutor's Office of the Trans-Baikal Territory announced the decision of the Central of the district court of the city of Chita, obliging local Internet providers of Rostelecom OJSC, Svyazkomplekt LLC, Loktelecom OJSC, Prestige-Internet LLC, CJSC "Transtelecom-Chita" restrict access to the territory Trans-Baikal Territory to the official information website of Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia. Thus, the court partially satisfied the claim of the prosecutor's office of Zabaykalsky edge, seeking to block the site on the grounds that it provides access to materials of Jehovah's Witnesses recognized as extremist. Recall that in January 2012 a similar decision was made by the Soviet district court of Ulan-Ude, in December 2011 - Sverdlovsky district court of Belgorod , and in September 2011 - City Court of Yoshkar-Ola . In several other regions providers block websites of Jehovah's Witnesses, but about Court decisions in these cases are unknown to us.

We do not consider lawful the accepted interpretation of the legislation, while which providers are ordered to close access to the site in general, when certain texts found on it were recognized as extremist. Except In addition, we regard as unlawful the very prohibition of the materials of Jehovah's Witnesses.
