Searches of Jehovah's Witnesses were conducted in Chuvashia

On February 10, 2012, in Alatyr (Chuvashia), law enforcement officers, following a court order, searched the homes of Jehovah's Witnesses Faina Bobrova and Mikhail Yermakov. No extremist materials were found during the searches.

was initiated against a resident of Cheboksary Recall that on September 7, 2011, a criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting religious hatred) for distributing the literature of Jehovah's Witnesses.
