Students from Malaysia were beaten in Volgograd

February 12, 2012 in Volgograd on Lenin Avenue, a group of 7-8 man attacked two students of the Volgograd State Medical University from Malaysia (21 and 22 years old).

The young people did not let the students go to the house where they rented an apartment. The attackers “made a couple of unflattering remarks” and started beating me. One of the victims was hospitalized with a concussion.

The regional Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that the conflict was not national, but domestic character. However, judging by the nature attacks, it could also have been motivated by hatred. Sources
