A round table dedicated to religious studies expertise and the fight against extremism was held in Moscow

On February 9, 2012, a round table was held at the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences on the issues of religious expertise and the fight against extremism. The organizers were IE RAS, the Guild of Experts in Religion and Law and the All-Russian Organization for the Protection of Freedom of Conscience.

Among the speakers were Secretary General of the All-Russian Organization for the Protection of Freedom of Conscience Oleg Goncharov, Professor of Moscow State University Igor Kanterov, Professor of the RANEPA Remir Lopatkin, President of the Guild of Experts on Religion and Law Roman Lunkin.

During the round table, a number of recommendations were prepared for discussion with the expert community and appeal to the authorities.
