On February 21, 2012, at a press conference in Tomsk, Alexander Dvorkin expressed his position on attempts to recognize the text of the Bhagavad Gita As It Is as extremist material.
He assured journalists that "The Bhagavad Gita As It Is" "has a very, very indirect relationship to the ancient Indian book - it is a very free and not very qualified translation", "misanthropic and insulting the religious feelings of people - followers of other religions."
Let us recall that on December 28, 2011, the Leninsky District Court of Tomsk refused to satisfy the claim of the prosecutor's office for the recognition of this book as extremist material. Sources
