Several websites containing extremist materials have been blocked in Stavropol

February 21, 2012 Leninsky District Court Stavropol satisfied the claim of the prosecutor's office of the Oktyabrsky district of Stavropol and ordered local providers OJSC VimpelCom, OJSC Rostelecom, JSC "Mobile TeleSystems" to block access to a number of sites containing extremist materials. The lawsuit was filed as a result of a November 2011 audit, which found on several sites materials included in Federal list of extremist materials.

As a reminder, we do not consider the practice of blocking to be lawful. sites containing individual extremist materials, in the event that these the sites were not recognized by the court as extremist.
