The case of two Nefteyugansk bombers has been brought to court

On March 3, the SO of the RF IC for the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Yugra announced the completion investigation of a criminal case against two residents of the city of Nefteyugansk, Denis Shamich and Vadim Tuchin, suspected of involvement in a series of explosions. "a" part 1 of Art. 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism committed with the use of weapons), paragraph "a" Part 2 Art. 116 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (beatings committed out of hooligan motives), paragraph "a" part 2 Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of minor bodily harm, committed from hooligan motives), paragraph "d" part 2 of article 112 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of the severity of harm to health, committed out of hooligan motives). Tuchin - under part 1 of Art. 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal acquisition, storage, carrying an explosive device), paragraph “a” part 1 of Art. 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ((hooliganism, committed with the use of weapons), Part 2 of Art. 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (deliberate destruction or damage to someone else's property), n. "c, d" part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm, committed in a generally dangerous way from hooligan motives), paragraph "a" part 2 of Art. 116 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (assaults committed from hooligan motives). The investigation established that from May 1 to September 4, 2010, Shamich made explosive device and during the celebration of the "Day of the city of Nefteyugansk" and "Day workers of the oil and gas processing industry" made an explosion, in as a result of which at least 10 people were injured.

In addition, in December 2010, Shamich again made an improvised explosive device, and on December 10, 2010 Tuchin threw it inside the trading pavilion "Luch", where people from North Caucasus. As a result of the explosion, the trade pavilion was damaged and a store clerk who tried to throw an explosive device into the street.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Nefteyugansk, Tuchin and Shamich were part of the group " bombers ", operating on the territory of Nefteyugansk almost two years. Members of this group are suspected of attacking non-Slavs, killing a homeless man, vandalism, and setting fire to the office of the United Russia party in January 2010.

Earlier, another member of the group, Maxim Tikhonov, was declared mentally ill.

In total, according to sources in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the group consisted of about 20 people. Of these, 13, including Tuchin and Shamich, are on trial.

During a press conference on January 17, 2012, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Nefteyugansk stated that he did not exclude the possibility of classifying a number of crimes under Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting national hatred). He also did not rule out that all cases related to the activities of group members may will be merged into one.
