The court arrested the members of "Pussy Riot"

March 5, 2012 Tagansky Court of Moscow authorized the arrest until April 24, 2012 of two "Pussy Riot" members Maria Alyokhina and Nadezhda Tolokonnikova.

Neither M. Alyokhina, nor N. Tolokonnikova plead not guilty and deny that they participated in the "Pussy Riot" punk action in the Cathedral of Christ Savior. N. Tolokonnikova also denies her involvement in the group. In token of In protest, the arrested continue their hunger strike, which began after their arrest on March 3.

The defense of the arrested intends to appeal against the court decision and achieve change of measure of restraint.

Recall that on the fact of the action in the Cathedral of Christ Savior initiated a criminal case under Part 2 of Art. 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism, committed by a group of persons by prior agreement). In our opinion, the matter unlawfully initiated.
