March 11, 2012 as a result of another update Federal List of Extremist Materials, we became aware that 29 December 2011 by the decision of the Central District Court of the city of Krasnoyarsk was the book of the Turkish theologian Said Nursi "Comparison of Faith and Unbelief" from the collection of works "Risale-i Nur".
From our point of view, the ban on this work by Said Nursi is unlawful. The book is entirely devoted outlining the advantages of faith over materialistic philosophy and piety in front of worldly pleasures and does not contain any extremist statements or invocations. The practice of prohibiting religious writings only on the basis that they carry the idea of the truth of the corresponding religion seems to us unfounded and contrary to common sense.
Recall that in 2011 several works by Nursi were already banned in Krasnoyarsk. From our point of view, the prohibition of Nursi's works and the persecution of his supporters are unlawful. Sources
