On March 12, 2012, it became known that the Moscow City Court refused to satisfy the claim of the committee “Against the introduction of universal electronic cards”. The applicants asked to recognize the Moscow law on the introduction of universal electronic cards dated March 9, 2011 invalid as violating the right to protection of personal data.
According to the applicants, lawyers Artur Korkovidov, Alexander Ponomarev and Alexander Tevyarkov - the introduction of the mentioned cards violates the right to private life, because collection, storage and dissemination of information takes place without the consent of the citizens.
The court found the applicants' claims unfounded.
