In March 2012, the prosecutor's office of the Lipetsk region filed a lawsuit against the providers of INETERA LLC, Summa Telecom LLC and Telemir LLC with a demand to prohibit access to "prohibited Internet resources that posted materials officially recognized as extremist."
Unfortunately, due to the fact that no specifics are given, it is impossible to understand from the wording given by the prosecutor's office whether it is about prohibited sites or about sites, but on which prohibited materials were found.
As a reminder, we do not consider the practice of blocking sites containing individual extremist materials to be lawful, if these sites themselves were not banned by the court (for more details on the problem, see the section "Internet and Anti-Extremism" in the report of the SOVA Center: "Illegal use of anti- extremist legislation in Russia in 2011 ").
