The leadership of the Kemerovo community of ROSHVE is outraged by cases of discrimination against Protestants at the art college

On April 6, 2012, it became known that the pastor of the Church of Christ Resurrected Evangelical Christians in Kemerovo appealed to the administration of the Kemerovo Regional Art College and to Bishop Sergei Ryakhovsky, a member of the Council for Cooperation with Religious Associations under the President of the Russian Federation, with complaints about " having place in the college of violations of the constitutional and legal foundations for the realization of the right to freedom of conscience and religion ."

According to the leader of the Kemerovo Pentecostal community, the director of the said educational institution, Lyudmila Gubkina, has repeatedly held “ events that can be regarded as propaganda or agitation that incites religious hatred ", as well as in a harsh form conversations about faith with college students.

In particular, on March 20, 2012, summoning student Vladimir Ogurtsov, a Pentecostal, to a meeting of elders, director called "The Church that Ogurtsov has been visiting with his mother for over 10 years, Mormons and sect”, and also “ inclined him to think voluntarily leave the institution, citing the fact that “art is not for Mormons need" and that "Mormons will not allow him to be an artist ."

The leadership of the Church of the "Rising Christ" sees in this " discrimination experienced by students of this educational institution, professing other religious beliefs, not coinciding with the personal religious views of the headmaster of the college ."
