Cheboksary: ​​a case was initiated under Art. 282 for xenophobic materials on a social network

In April 2012 in the city of Cheboksary of the Republic of Chuvashia a criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (initiation of a national hate).

The case was initiated against a 51-year-old local resident, whom accused of having created a group in one of the social networks, in which posted texts, pictures and videos insulting immigrants from Central Asia and calling for violence against them.
