Pskov: Criminal case for an “extremist file” on the Internet

On April 12, 2012, the Investigative Department for the city of Pskov, the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Pskov Region, reported that a criminal case is being investigated under Part 1 of Art. 282 UK RF (inciting hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity) in relation to a 51-year-old resident of the Leningrad region.

According to investigators, in October 2011, the suspect posted on the Internet file "with information of an extremist nature." Then, on one of the forums, he gave a description and a link to this file. Except In addition, he tried to send e-mails to the federal media of the Russian Federation and neighboring states with the same reference, but was detained by officers Federal Security Service.

Unfortunately, it is not clear from the message what kind of file caused the FSB claims. Therefore, we cannot judge with certainty the legitimacy of the case.
