In April 2012, the public movement “Russia for All” conducted a survey on Facebook on the secularism of the state. Respondents were asked the question: “The Constitution of the Russian Federation separates the Church from the state. What kind of Russia would you like to live in? Two possible answers were offered: “in the Orthodox - leave the Church alone!” and “in the secular, according to the law, the place of the Church is in churches.”
More than 70% of survey participants (25,798 people) chose the second option. 10,517 network users spoke in favor of an Orthodox state.
