Ruslan Ustrakhanov calls on security forces to “stand up” for the patriarch

On April 18, 2012, "CentrAsia" published an article by Ruslan Ustrakhanov "The Courage of the Patriarch", dedicated to the "information campaign against the Russian Orthodox Church."

The author of the article is sure that “everyone has united in opposition to the Russian Orthodox Church: the opposition, Wahhabist terrorists, the “civilized” world, Kavkaz Center with Ekho Moskvy, Trud with Radio Liberty”, “hundreds of information agencies, politicians joined the campaign to discredit the Russian Orthodox Church and Patriarch Kirill.

In his opinion, the “attacks on the patriarch” and anti-church actions “should be stopped by the power structures of the state apparatus”, as well as “100 million Orthodox, whose wrath the enemies of the faith and Russia should fear more than the reaction of the authorities.”
In addition, the author of the article is convinced that "the state cannot exist without a national idea, be soulless - which means that the principle of separation of the Church from the state should be forgotten forever: the ROC, as an institution of spiritual power, should become part of the state."
