Defense appeals extension of arrest for Pussy Riot members

April 23, 2012 lawyers Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, Maria Alyokhina and Ekaterina Samutsevich filed complaints against the decision with the Moscow City Court The Tagansky District Court of Moscow to extend the arrest of the girls until June 24.

Recall that we do not consider it lawful to prosecute the accused in participation in the action in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior under Part 2 of Art. 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism, committed by a group of persons by prior agreement), and, accordingly, their criminal arrest.
