Primorsky Krai: criminal case for xenophobic texts on the “My World” network

On April 26, 2012, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Primorsky Territory announced the initiation of a criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity) against a 22-year-old resident of the city of Nakhodka.

According to investigators, in 2011, the suspect posted on the My World social network in free access for an unlimited circle of Internet users materials in which a psychological and linguistic examination found "incitement of hatred and enmity between the peoples inhabiting the Russian Federation, and humiliation of human dignity or groups of persons on the basis of nationality.
